a. The focal point for planning, implementing and reporting of the following activities: microbiological and immunological diagnostic testing; professional direction inspect, supervise, and provide technical assistance for microbiological and immunological diagnostic testing at lower levels.

b. Collaborate to provide information, communication; monitoring pathogens, risk factors; scientific research, international cooperation; application of related scientific and technical advances; training to improve professional and technical capacity  in the field of microbiological and immunological diagnostic testing.

c. Coordinate to provide the following services: microbiological and immunological testing, testing for dangerous diseases, testing techniques (immunology, molecular biology), biological products, diagnostic testing reagents.

d. Perform other tasks assigned by the Director.
